Welcome to GGC

For over thirty years Grace Gospel Church has been spreading the good news of Jesus Christ on Long Island.

It is our desire that through our body God will continue to use us as a beacon and a lighthouse to guide and direct those who are searching, into a meaningful relationship with their Creator. We desire to be real people and a real church that points people to a real God. God bless you and please let us know how we can help you.

Our Mission

Exalting Christ And Pointing Others To Him

It is our desire to develop and maintain a culture that supports this process and teaches and promotes the values that we hold.

Our Values

We Value the Authority of God’s Word

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40: 7

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. “And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25

Both the Old and New Testaments clearly teach that God’s word is eternal and unchanging. For this reason at Grace Gospel Church we want the Word of God to be central to all that we teach and do.

We Value Demonstrating Christ’s Love for All People

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ “This is the great and foremost commandment. “The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” Matt.22:36-40

“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. “You are My friends if you do what I command you. John 15:12-15

Jesus explained that the central teaching of the Old Testament was to love God with our whole being and then to love our neighbor as ourselves. Jesus then went on to teach and command that love for Him was demonstrated by keeping His commandments and His commandment was for His disciples to love each other the way He loved them.

We Value Being the Hands and Feet of Christ to the World

“Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same aGod who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

All believers make up the body of Christ on this earth. God has gifted every believer with a gift to use to serve others. As each believer is using their gifts in the ministry God has called them to, the Holy Spirit works in a powerful way demonstrating that the Church is the hands and feet of Christ in our world.

We Value Being United in Spirit

“Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:1-6

Though people have different gifts, personalities and different opinions on non- essential doctrines and teachings it is God’s will that God’s people love each other and strive to maintain a unity of spirit amongst each other.

We Value Connecting People to God

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6

”...God our Savior... who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.” 1 Timothy 2:4-6

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:20-21

Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for the salvation of men, and now He calls His church to tell others the Good News and make make disciples in all nations.

We Value Actively Responding to God’s Love in Worship and Service

“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. John 14:23

“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.” John 4:23

“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10

God has a “Love Language”, it is obedience. To say we love God, and not actively obey Him is a contradiction.

We Value Being Mission Driven

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

We endeavor to be a church that is focused and driven by a mission, the “Great Commission” to make disciples. Over time churches experience a variety of changes. Some expected some unexpected. Programs, people, policies, you name it can change. The mission however, that Christ gave the church never changes. We are here to fulfill Christ’s mission. It is through focusing on the mission, we as a church stay our course.
